Prologue

Herobrine snarled as he lifted himself off the bloodstained cave floor. He stared at his hands now covered in bright crimson. He pulled himself to his knees and gritted his teeth. Everything ached. Teeth and claw marks alongside sword slashes and arrow wounds covered his body. Although he was a god that didn't mean he couldn't be injured. His mind flashed as he remembered what happened in perfect clarity...

Sword against hand clashed. Herobrine held the diamond sword in his bare hand his strength barely holding the blade his brother held. He stared into the navy eyes of his brother.
"You always liked to play tricks 'Herobrine'," His brother spat his name like it was cave spider venom. "How would you like one yourself?"
A dagger was stabbed into Herobrine's stomach. He gasped and fell over. He coughed and felt blood trickling out of his mouth. His white eyes glowed weakly.
"S...Steve..." Herobrine growled before he fell limp on the ground.
The brown haired twin stared down at the fallen god. He wiped the dagger on his pants then grabbed Herobrine's shirt.
"I know you can still hear me you white-eyed freak... I know you're not dead... Not yet... It's not your time... But I swear you this, I WILL find you again and finish you. You never were meant to be here. You are worthless piece of Nether garbage that should have stayed in that hell-hole. We aren't finished 'Brother'..." Steve threw Herobrine against the wall and walked out of the cave.

Herobrine put his head in his hands. He started snickering quietly and it slowly became a full-on maniacal laugh.
"Steve, I swear you this. I WILL finish what YOU started. You don't remember... But I do... You made me this, and I love you for it... We will meet soon brother... And I'll be there to send you to sleep..."
Herobrine's laugh echoed down the cave walls as his eyes faded to black, shadowing the bloodstained floor and hiding the god...

Chapter 1

Even if I do carry out this plan, thought Herobrine, I can't do it alone. Steve has grown stronger, and I will get my vengeance. He had one particular girl in mind. He walked out of the cave into the nighttime. His eyes glowed brighter than they did before. He was determined to get his revenge on Steve. No one defeats me and gets away with it alive, thought Herobrine, as he approached Angela's house.

Angela was smelting some iron ore she had found in the mines a short time before when she heard a knock at the door. If this was Herobrine, and she was sure it was, she'd be pretty mad, because then she'd have to move again. As sure as she was, Herobrine was standing at her door. "Ugh... Herobrine..." said Angela, "It's the middle of the night, and you come here and dare disturb my smelting?" "If you knew what I've been through, you'd want to help me," said Herobrine, eyes glowing brighter. "Forget it," said Angela, "I'm not gonna help you." "Very well, then," said Herobrine, "Have it your way." He pulled something out from his pocket, but Angela didn't have enough time to dodge before he knocked her out cold.

Chapter 2

When Angela awoke, she was deep n Herobrine's lair, and worse, she was caged up. "HEROBRINE!" yelled Angela, frustrated and angry. She rubbed her head, which hurt very badly. Surprisingly, she'd hit her head harder than Herobrine did. If she could get out of this cage, she could escape. Herobrine was probably out trolling people. But she feared Herobrine had more in store for her than just being caged up. That was the thing that worried her the most. He said something about "helping" him, but why would he need her help? Unless, thought Angela. She gasped, suddenly realizing something. No, thought Angela, It couldn't be. He wants me to help him get revenge on Steve, who recently defeated him. Herobrine didn't need to tell her what happened so she would know. She was psychic. Herobrine suddenly walked into the room, interrupting her thoughts. He was currently not paying any attention to her, but, it wouldn't be long before the mental abuse, which never seemed to work with her anymore. Angela glared at Herobrine, who was busy sharpening his sword, obviously dulled from killing things, for it was covered with blood. He set the sword down on a crafting table and turned towards Angela. "If you won't help me, then I'll force you to help me," said Herobrine, walking closer to the cage. "Pfft... I'm not scared of you," Angela said defiantly. "You should be," replied Herobrine with a cold smile. He walked back to the sword and picked it up. He then walked back towards Angela. She stepped back, wary of Herobrine's intentions. He wasn't thinking at all, so she had no idea what he was about to do. Herobrine took a diamond pickaxe and broke a 1-block-wide, 2-block-tall hole in the cage and stepped in. He held the sword to her neck. Even though he just sharpened his sword, Angela thought, he still doesn't have the power of the Ender Sword. Angela looked down at the bracelet on her left hand, then back at Herobrine. He pushed the sword further. The sword was now pressing delicately on her skin. Suddenly, she moved to her right, her bracelet now an Ender Sword. She swung it at Herobrine. He dodged it and swung his sword at her. She blocked it with hers, holding it by both hands. It was only a matter of time before she'd have to give in to Herobrine's brute strength and just have a legitimate fight. She pushed his sword away, saw an opening, and swung her sword. Herobrine jumped back at the last second. Wow, thought Angela, Is it just me or has Herobrine's reflexes gotten better? Herobrine swung his sword at her face, and she bent back a second too late. His sword cut a deep gash in her face, just beneath her left eye. She wiped away the blood like it was nothing. Herobrine swung again while she was distracted, or so he thought. She ducked down and instead of cutting her face, it cut her hair. "You're lucky I don't care about my hair!" said Angela. Herobrine snickered quietly and swung again. This time, it was near her stomach. She dodged to her left, but she lost her footing and fell to the ground. She was losing this battle. And how had she lost her footing when she was so sure-footed? She didn't have any time to think before Herobrine picked her up by the shirt and threw her across the room. She landed on the wall, dazed from what had just happened. Herobrine walked over to Angela and held his sword to her neck again. "You will help me whether you like it or not," Herobrine wasn't kidding. If she didn't help him, he would kill her. "Fine," Angela spat out the words like she had tasted something terrible, "I'll help you." Herobrine snickered and it quickly became a maniacal laugh. Angela pushed away his sword with the back of her left wrist and stood up. She had dropped her Ender Sword when she was thrown across the room, so she went to retrieve it.

Chapter 3

Angela rolled her eyes as they walked through the forest. She didn't like what Herobrine was up to. She had noticed all the cuts and bruises on him before, but in the daylight, they seemed worse. Soon they arrived at their destination; Steve's house. When this is over, thought Angela, I'll escape the first chance I get. Steve wasn't home, so Herobrine waited patiently for his return. Angela just stood there two blocks away from him thinking up an escape plan. It was unusually hard to think when Herobrine was around her. So they waited. It felt like hours when it had only been a few minutes when Steve showed up. He opened a chest close by the door and put something in it. "Hello, Steve," said Herobrine menacingly. Angela edged away, as she knew this would get ugly. Why does this always happen to her? Either she gets to help someone fight, or she's the one getting beat up. Usually it's the latter. "H-Herobrine?!" Steve seemed surprised, "H-how?!" "You know you can't kill a god!" said Herobrine, "Now, feel my wrath!" Herobrine lunged at Steve, diamond sword in hand. Angela did not want to get in the middle of this fight. But still... she was in doubt. Who's side should she be on? Suddenly, without thinking, she shoved Herobrine and Steve away from each other. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Herobrine yelled. Angela slowly backed away as he turned to her. "If you're not gonna help me, stay outta  my way!" He pointed his sword at her. Angela was not going to be pushed around by anyone. She clenched her fists and tried to control her anger. She shook her head and leaned against the wall. If she had an incident now, she'd regret it. Instead, she just watched them fight. She was secretly rooting for Steve. Steve shot an arrow at Herobrine, but missed and the arrow instead just barely missed Angela's head. She acted like nothing even happened. She wasn't nearly as jumpy as she was eight years ago. She did not like to think about that. Her mind was wandering...

Eight years ago, Angela's world was attacked by Heartless; beings without hearts. As it was being consumed by darkness, she was desperately trying to protect her best friend, Hannah. Angela held a sturdy tree branch and tried to keep the Heartless at bay. The branch had no effect on them. Suddenly, the branch turned into a giant key. She used it against them, and it destroyed them in a few hits. She heard Hannah scream and turned around. She was staring at a huge Heartless; a Darkside. After Angela defeated it, her world was destroyed by darkness...

Her thoughts were interrupted when Steve was thrown towards her. She stepped right two blocks and Steve hit the wall. "You help him," said Herobrine, "I will kill you!" Angela helped Steve up anyways. Herobrine growled angrily. "You can't tell me what to do, Herobrine!" Angela growled back, "I'm not on your side!" Herobrine lunged at her, but she dodged and instead he hit the wall. She was holding a weapon, but instead of an Ender Sword, it was a Keyblade. She was prepared to fight Herobrine alongside Steve. Herobrine laughed maniacally. "So cute," he said with a cold smile, "You'd rather die with Steve..." He shoved her out of the way and stabbed Steve in the stomach. "How do you like that?" Herobrine's eyes glowed with satisfaction. Steve fell over, blood trickling from his mouth. Angela saw the opportunity and fled from the scene, only to be grabbed by Herobrine by her backpack. She tried vainly to escape. There was no escaping this time. Unless...

The only way of escape was to take her backpack off. She had to do it, but was hesitant. She removed the backpack from her back. The thing she was hiding was now revealed. She had large, white feathered wings, edges tipped with bright red. Herobrine wasn't surprised about this; he already knew. She fled from Steve's house and took to the air.

Chapter 4

If Angela reached the city, she'd be fairly safe, especially if she  was in Notch's house; no hostile mob could enter it... Her mind wandered again...

After her world was destroyed, she found herself in a strange town. She later found out it was Traverse Town, where people whose world was destroyed took refuge. She met Sora, and they became best friends. They travelled from world to world and eventually found a world with a huge city. There was a giant deserted skyscraper right in the middle. That was when they founded the Headquarters, but most people didn't even know it existed. Eventually, their "staff" grew substantially, and it was slowly becoming more well known...

She stopped thinking about her past. Why was the past still bothering her? Her thoughts were once again interrupted when she flew straight into a jungle tree. "Ugh," she said to herself, "I need to pay attention when I'm flying..." She held on to the vines attached to the large tree. She wondered where Sora was. Even though she was psychic, her mind was still limited. She had no idea where he was. She flew off towards the city...

Herobrine knew exactly where Angela was headed. He was already halfway to the city when he saw Angela flying high in the air. He wasn't in too big a hurry to get her; he'll confront her in the city...

Chapter 5

When Angela arrived at the city, she headed straight for Notch's house. If she could make it, she'd be safe from practically everything. She landed softly on the road and ran for the rest of the way. She wasn't watching where she was going even though she was looking straight ahead; she was too deep in thought. Suddenly, she ran into someone. "Hey, watch it, Angela!" said a familiar voice. She had run straight into DanTDM. He held out his hand to help her up. "Sorry, Dan," said Angela. "You look like you're in a big hurry," said Dan, "You running from Herobrine again?" Angela nodded. "Well, keep going."

She was so close to Notch's house, but something wasn't right. The area around it wasn't slightly distorted like usually was. The protective focefield around it was always on. "Going somewhere?" said a voice behind her. She was almost scared to turn around. She spun around and was face-to-face with Herobrine again. He was holding an extra sharp diamond sword in his hand. Angela didn't want to fight, especially against someone she knew could easily overpower her. Somehow, she felt that a legitimate fight was inevitable now. There was no running from this. She prepared herself to fight, Keyblade in hand. "It's gonna take more than a Keyblade to defeat me!" laughed Herobrine. He lunged at her, but Angela dodged away like he was just a mere dodgeball. Her cat-like reflexes made her almost impossible to hit; if she's in the mood. When she's in the mood to fight, she will show it. Since Herobrine wasn't thinking, Angela couldn't tell what he was going to do. Herobrine lunged at her again; this time she ducked and barely missed the razor-sharp blade. "Fight!" yelled Herobrine as he ran towards her. Angela quickly jumped out of the way, Herobrine's sword cutting deeply into her left arm. She gripped the wound, which was bleeding heavily. "You're pathetic," said Herobrine as he walked away. Suffering from blood loss, Angela lost consciousness.
